An Esquire 3000+ (Bruker) ion trap mass spectrometer was installed in 2004. The instrument is equipped with electrospray ionization (ESI) and atmospheric pressure chemical ionization (APCI) sources. The standard mass range of the instrument is 50-3000 m/z, which can be extended up to 6000 m/z. Tandem mass spectrometry can be performed as well.
